TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Senator Joe Donnelly started his Serving Those Who Serve’s Defense Jobs tour Wednesday.
Donnelly made a stop at the Terre Haute International airport.
He talked with people in the Air National Guard.
The lawmaker says military jobs are critical in keeping people safe on a local, national and international stage.
“Much of the search and rescue capability for our nation is right here in Terre Haute, that they have the talents and abilities to search for people who are for instance, in a tornado,” Sen. Donnelly said.
Donnelly will visit six communities over the next three days.
