CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - On Saturday around 2 p.m., the Clay County Sheriff’s Department responded to an accident on Interstate 70 at the 20 mile marker.
Officials report the vehicle had struck a guardrail and flipped trapping the driver inside.
The driver, James Holmes, 70 of Virginia, stated he had a medical condition that caused the accident.
Holmes was transported to Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis by Air Evac for lacerations to his head, arms and legs – but was alert and conscious.
