FONTANET, Ind. (WTHI) - One person shot in the face Tuesday afternoon in a shooting that occurred in Fontanet, Ind.
The shooting happened at a house on Baldwin Street in northern Vigo County around 1:30 p.m.
Brent Cooley Sr. went to the Fontanet Tavern looking for a Joshua Lankford. Police say Lankford's dad, Tim happened to be in the bar, and took Cooley to Joshua's location.
According to officials Cooley shot Lankford outside the house. Two people witnessed the shooting but neither of them was injured.
Cooley left the scene but was quickly located by the Vigo County Sheriff's Department and was taken into custody and is being held without bond. He will likely face charges of Attempted Murder, Criminal Recklessness with a Firearm, and Pointing a Firearm.
According to police, the two men were in a dispute over $25 that Lankford owed Cooley.
Vigo County Chief Deputy, Clark Cottom says the victim's injuries are not life threatening.
