TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Indiana State University will recognize one of its all-time great athletes in November.
School leaders will unveil a statue of Larry Bird in front of the Hulman Center.
To commemorate the event Barnes and Noble is resurrecting a vintage t-shirt.
Barnes and Noble says it's definitely a unique look.
“They were featured in the newspaper in 1979, they haven’t been recreated since then and we did a t-shirt for his scholarship fund, some of the proceeds go to that scholarship,” Barbie Fox from Barnes and Noble said.
Barnes and Noble is selling the shirts at homecoming events this week.
Larry Bird is scheduled to be in Terre Haute November 9th for the statue dedication.
