SEELYVILLE, Ind. (WTHI) - The final of four planned church closures in the Terre Haute Deanery took place Sunday morning.
Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Seelyville held their last mass Sunday morning, and closed their doors, but, they are hoping, not for the last time.
The Archdiocese of Indianapolis announced the plan to close the churches in 2011.
But Holy Rosary isn't closing up shop so easy.
The church is working to appeal the decision to the Archdiocese. Parishioners are willing to address the Vatican if needed.

UPDATE: Around 9 a.m. on Saturday, the Terre Haute Police Department responded to the Statesman Inn room 144 at 1407 N 3rd Street. Officers found Randall Norton Jr, 21, with multiple stab wounds to his back and abdomen.
Update: The Washington Police Department is looking to speak with a person of interest in an ongoing death investigation.
