PARIS, Ill. (WTHI) - The Paris Fire Department goes on its fair share of calls every day.
"Some days we might catch two, three or four calls so,” said Zach Janis, Paris Fire Department.
Janis has had a few years of experience under his helmet and he has been on almost every type of call imaginable.
"I'm getting ready to start my eighth year here in October," he explained. "One of the craziest calls I've ever been on was the Northern Harvest Furniture Factory they had down here. It was an incredible fire. They had tons and tons of people there from different departments."
But on Thursday, this firefighter went out on a call that just might change his life forever.
