TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Today marks two years since Terre Haute Police Officer Brent Long died in the line of duty.
And two years later, court proceedings are still playing out for suspects in the case.
The deadly shooting happened in a home near Union Hospital in 2011. Officer Long and his K-9 Shadow went to that home serve a warrant.
When Long went into the home, Shawn Seely shot and killed him. Police then shot and killed Seely on the scene.
Five people appeared in court last month in connection to Long's death.
