TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A Terre Haute manufacturer gave to a good cause Thursday.
Novelis presented a check to the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana.
The $7,000 donation goes to the Girl Scouts STEM Education center. The center helps girls explore science, technology, engineering and math.
Girl Scouts of Central Indiana's Carl Bender said they're thankful for the donation to help girls to reach their full potential.
"I feel extremely happy that they did this, because, as I said, it's a necessary thing, I think, for young girls to understand these educational opportunities that they will have," said Bender.
The Girl Scouts hope girls will have the opportunity to learn about these fields at an earlier age.
