Organizers dedicated the Clay Community Skate Park to the community youth Saturday afternoon.
They say without city support, this park wouldn't exist.
The city donated the land for the park and hundreds of people donated money to help bring this park to life for the kids in the city.
"It's taking the kids off the places that it's unsafe to skate and they're all here, enjoying themselves in a safe environment. So that makes it all worthwhile," said Roberta Weliever, project coordinator.
The park is at the corner of Wesleyan Church Drive and Jackson Street and is open to the public.
