TERRE HAUTE, iND (WTHI) - Police and emergency crews are investigating a dead body found on the railroad tracks.
At around 5:00 Tuesday morning, C-S-X railroad crews called police, saying they saw a body on the tracks between Margaret and Davis Drive just south of Interstate 70 in Terre Haute.
No other details have been released right now, but we can tell you the body is that of an older female.
The Vigo County Sheriff's Department says they believe the woman may have been in her 50s.
Police suspect the woman was homeless, because they found a camp set up near the tracks.
