CLINTON, Ind. (WTHI) - A local library in the Wabash Valley celebrated a major anniversary Sunday.
The Clinton Public Library had their centennial celebration Sunday evening to remember when they opened their doors back in 1911.
Anyone was invited to join in on the library's anniversary.
The event offered music, slideshows, tours, and even some free books.
But several people who work at the library say these days the library is more than just books to them.
Karen Walker, Director of Clinton Public Library says, "We've got meeting rooms for the public. That can be a scarcity in small towns now a days. And of course the computers now a days."
The Clinton library isn't stopping there either. They'll add electronic books to their services after the first of the year.
