INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WTHI) - Thousands from the Wabash Valley will be headed to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend for the Indiana 250 Nationwide Series Race and the Brickyard 400.
New restrictions on what can and can not be brought in to The Speedway caused quite a bit of frustration at The Indianapolis 500 in May.
But, officials say this time around will be much smoother!
Saturday public gates at the track will open at 7 a.m. The Indiana 250 Nationwide Series Race will start at 4:30p.m.
Then, on Sunday gates will open at the track at 6 a.m. with the green flag flying at 1 p.m. for the 20th running of The Brickyard 400!

UPDATE: Around 9 a.m. on Saturday, the Terre Haute Police Department responded to the Statesman Inn room 144 at 1407 N 3rd Street. Officers found Randall Norton Jr, 21, with multiple stab wounds to his back and abdomen.
Update: The Washington Police Department is looking to speak with a person of interest in an ongoing death investigation.
