CHICAGO (AP) — A relative of a 3-year-old girl allegedly beaten to death has shouted about the suspect during a bail hearing that someone should "gouge (out) his eyeballs!"
The outburst came at a Sunday hearing for 42-year-old Jessie B. Rodriguez. He's charge with first-degree murder in the death of the Oak Forest child, Gina Presley.
The Chicago-Sun Times (http://bit.ly/177KRAn) reports the man who yelled and had to be subdued by Cook County sheriff's deputies is believed to be the girl's father. He began shouting after a judge set bail at $10 million.
A prosecutor says Rodriguez is the boyfriend of the girl's aunt and legal guardian. Rodriguez was allegedly alone with the girl when the aunt went to work.
There's no telephone listing in the Chicago area for a Jessie B. Rodriguez
