EDGAR COUNTY, Ill. (WTHI) - The debate continued Wednesday morning in Edgar County, Illinois about the Illinois Rivers Transmission Project from Ameren.
On Wednesday, the Edgar County Board passed a unanimous vote to send a letter to Ameren Transmission and the Illinois Commerce Commission.
The letter argues minimal transparency in the process thus far involving Edgar County.
Originally, the route went through Clark County primarily, but the new “hybrid” route flows primarily through Edgar County.
While the Illinois Commerce Commission rejected the Edgar County landowners request for rehearing, at least one land owner plans to head to the Court of Appeals to fight for his land.
