LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill. (WTHI) - Firefighters in Lawrenceville, Illinois spent Friday night fighting a fire that engulfed a home and spread to a nearby apartment complex.
It happened at just before 11:00 p.m.
14 fire departments stayed on scene until 7:00 Saturday morning in the 1500 block of Lexington Street.
Everyone in both buildings escaped without injuries.
However, some observers did receive minor injuries from the fire.
Officials are declaring both buildings total losses.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

UPDATE: Around 9 a.m. on Saturday, the Terre Haute Police Department responded to the Statesman Inn room 144 at 1407 N 3rd Street. Officers found Randall Norton Jr, 21, with multiple stab wounds to his back and abdomen.
Update: The Washington Police Department is looking to speak with a person of interest in an ongoing death investigation.
