SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn's mother has some advice for her son, whocould become Illinois' next governor by day's end.
Eileen Quinn says her advice to her son was to not work 24 hoursa day. She acknowledged that her son is unlikely to listen to herQuinn's mother was at the state Capitol with other family memberson Thursday as the Illinois Senate prepared to vote on whether tooust Gov. Rod Blagojevich from office.
If Blagojevich is removed, Quinn would become governor.
If her son is elevated, Eileen Quinn says he'd have a "deepconcern" for the needs of the people of the state. She calls her60-year-old son a "very capable person" who -- with prayers andhelp -- would achieve his purpose.

UPDATE: Around 9 a.m. on Saturday, the Terre Haute Police Department responded to the Statesman Inn room 144 at 1407 N 3rd Street. Officers found Randall Norton Jr, 21, with multiple stab wounds to his back and abdomen.
