US Marshals picked up Officer Chris Gill at the Indianapolis International Airport after he returned from a martial arts event in Texas.
Gill is suspended without pay from the Danville Police Department and has domestic battery charges pending in Vigo County.
He was arrested following a 2010 incident involving his ex-wife.
A condition of Gill's release was that he was to turn over his service weapon while he's on suspension. Court records show he turned in another weapon in its place.
His trial on his Vigo County case is set for September.
