The crash involved two passenger vehicles and a scooter. The driver of the scooter was ultimately airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with multiple serious injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed northbound traffic was stopped for a red light, when A blue, 2011, Nissan Altima, driven by Shannon N. The crash was investigated by ISP Master Trooper Ritch Reynolds. Assisting were multiple ISP troopers, Vigo County Sheriff's Office, Honey Creek Fire/Rescue, and Trans Care Ambulance Service.
Drugs/Alcohol testing is underway for Evans. Grzegorek and Smith tested negative for intoxication and neither driver was injured.
