TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Police arrested a Terre Haute man Tuesday on charges he sexually abused a 9-year-old relative.
Anthony Evinger, 21, faces a felony charge of child molestation.
According to court documents, the 9-year-old relative told investigators that on two occasions, Evinger made the girl sit on his lap when she asked not to. The girl also said that, on those occasions, Evinger also touched her inappropriately under her pants.
When questioned by police, Evinger said he did not remember touching the child inappropriately and said that he did not remember forcing the child to sit on his lap.
Evinger is being held in the Vigo County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
