TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Indiana State University has issued a crime alert.
The incident was reported by a female student around 11:30 Monday morning.
Officials say she was walking off campus in the 900 block of North 6th Street in Terre Haute.
The female student was approached by an unknown man driving a 1990s model gold color four door passenger vehicle, who offered her a ride.
She refused and the driver left the area.
The driver is described as a white male in his 50s, heavy set, with thinning brown hair combed over.
