LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ill. (WTHI) - Human remains found in an Illinois county.
Illinois State Police, Lawrence County Sheriff's Department and the Lawrence County Coroner's office are investigating the discovery of human remains in rural Lawrence County.
The remains were found in a drainage ditch on Cahokia Trace Lane. This is just north of US 50.
No identification has been made at this time.
An autopsy is planned to determine the identity and cause of death.
