CHARLESTON, Ill. (WTHI) - Around 2:20 a.m. Sunday morning, Charleston, Illinois police found two gunshot victims as well as battery victim at 634 W. State Street.
All three injured people were transported to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center by the Charleston Fire Department.
The gathering was promoted by G.O.M.A.B. Productions out of the Chicago area. The event was advertised as a “Barn Party” and was hosted by Eastern Illinois University fraternity Phi Beta Sigma.
When police arrived at the party, they saw between 300-400 people.
The Charleston Police was assisted by Eastern Illinois University Police, the Coles County Sheriff’s Department, the Mattoon Police Department, the Illinois State Police, and the Coles County State’s Attorney’s Office.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
