TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A local trail is set to close temporally.
The Heritage Trail will be closed from Twiggs Rest Park to the Heritage Trail apartments during the week of August 19th.
Crews will work on grinding the high spots, filling cracks and applying two coats of surface sealer to the asphalt trail.
The work is weather dependent, without rain the project should be wrapped up by August 23rd.
The trail is scheduled to reopen on August 24th.
The warmer weather is a thing of the past, and it's expected to get worse.
