TERRE HAUTE, Ind (WTHI) - Dozens turned out Friday to support organ donation. The group joined hands at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute to mark Donate Life Month.
The event is aimed to show support to organ donors, recipients and their families. Both healthcare workers and organ recipients spoke out for organ donation.
"If you're willing to accept an organ, wouldn't you be willing to give an organ?" said Marissa Tout, a Registered Dietician for Regional Hospital. Trout's husband also received an organ transplant.
Experts say if you want to donate your organs, it's important to share your wishes with your family members.
