TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - A local girl is in Maryland this week spelling for a national title!
Kimmie Collins is a 7th grader at Woodrow Wilson. On Tuesday, she was in the preliminary round for the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
Collins is the undefeated school champion at the Woodrow Wilson.
Her coach is not surprised by her early success.
