INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The NBA has suspended Roy Hibbert for one game after Tuesday night's scuffle, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.

Hibbert and other players got into a shoving match with the Golden State Warriors at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

He will miss Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Golden State's David Lee, who was part of the initial pushing that started the larger issue, was also suspended for one game without pay. Warriors players Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, and Pacers player Lance Stephenson were all fined $35,000 for what the NBA called "escalating the altercation."

Earlier Wednesday, Pacer big man Hibbert  was apologetic and ready to move on.

“It’s unfortunate it happened. I talked to the league this morning, gave them my point of view. The video was clear, and we will see what happens,” said Hibbert after the team held an afternoon practice Wednesday.

“My mom was a little upset; she told me I should have walked away,” he said.

Hibbert reviewed the video after the incident. Click here to watch the play on the NBA's site.

“I saw there was a little kid that ran up out of his seat when all that happened,” he said. “I apologize to the fans sitting courtside that could have gotten injured. We’re a team that loves the fans, and we don’t want to scare them away. The good thing is nobody got hurt, and again I apologize to the fans.”
