ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) - At the Dell Diamond in Round Rock, flags will fly at half-staff and fans will observe a moment of silence before this weekend's game in honor the man who died after falling at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington on Thursday night.

George King, the general manager of the Round Rock Express, did not comment directly on the tragedy in Arlington during a news conference Friday. But he did seek to reassure Express fans that the Dell Diamond is safe place to watch professional baseball.

The park meets or exceeds all safety standards recognized by the industry, King said.

A trip to the ballpark is not without some risk because fans are close to the game, and batted balls can be sprayed at high speeds to virtually all sections of the grandstands.

"It's an age-old question about how far you go," King said. "How much is too much, and do you take away from the feel of the game?"

The Express is the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers .

At the Ranger's ballpark, Shannon Stone, 39, died after falling over a rail in the stands behind left field when outfielder Josh Hamilton tossed an errant ball his way.
