INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Sunday will be the 82nd straight sellout at Lucas Oil Stadium and many of the 63,000 plus are expected to be Packers fans. Green Bay's fans are arguably one of the best traveling fan bases in the league. Colts interim head coach Bruce Arians issued a challenge to Colts fans before Thursday's practice.

“I know how their fans travel and in no way can they come into Lucas Oil this week and take over our stadium,” Arians told reporters. “I’m challenging our fans, especially this week, because it’s kind of a unique, special thing. That cannot happen. They need to be at an all-time high for Chuck and for the team. We cannot allow the cheese heads to come in here and take over.”

The Packers have never won in Indianapolis. They have lost all three games they have played in Indy against the Colts since the team moved.

The Colts defense may be receiving reinforcement with the high flying Green Bay offense set to land at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Rush linebacker Dwight Freeney hopes to play this weekend. He participated in practice both on Wednesday and Thursday.

“I hope to play, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to happen,” Freeney said. “It’s really a day-to-day deal. I treat it the same way I’ve treated all the injuries. It’s going to be, I wake up on Thursday, how does it feel? Wake up on Friday, how does it feel? Saturday, oh it feels a lot better, maybe I can go.”

Freeney has been out since spraining his ankle in Chicago during week one. He says players appreciate the game more once they can’t go out there.

“You really start missing it, all the camaraderie. And the meetings, not as much, really just being around the players in practice and definitely the games,” Freeney explained. “It’s part of you. Especially being out there for 11 years like I have, it’s all you know. You don’t want to see your guys out there without you.”
