PRIOR LAKE, Minn. (CNN/KARE) - Man's best friend rides shotgun in Minnesota.

Jim Larson and his golden retriever "Cooper" turned heads when they rode around town on their motorbike. That's because "Cooper" rides in the sidecar with his own pair of shades.

Larson originally bought the bike intending to ride with his wife, but she was too scared.

Larson rescued "Cooper" from a family that could no longer care for him.

Since introducing the dog to the motorcycle, they've been closer than ever. At least once a week, they both make the rounds to the dog park, lake and to get some fast food. Larson gets a burger while "Cooper" nibbles on fries.
