MANOR, Texas (AP) - Some Central Texas homeowners have opened their house to help their furry friends stay cool.
Claud and Sharon Bramblett of Manor share 20 acres with three dogs, two cows, several peacocks and 10 llamas.
The Austin American-Statesman reports the Brambletts each afternoon open their doors and let the llamas into the home.
Claud Bramblett, who's a 71-year-old retired professor of anthropology at The University of Texas , says it's too hot outside.
Some of the llamas tuck their legs under them, underbellies against the cool cement floor. Others stand.
Someone needs to be available to open a door if a llama needs to go out for a bathroom break.
After dinner, the house is a llama-free zone.
