Only got a day or even just a few hours before you need to be spooktacular this Halloween? With work and life, we are all busy, and creating an elaborate costume just might not be in the cards for some of us.

If you’ve only got hours to go before the festivities, grab a few old black and white T-shirts and a pair of scissors for a quick bone-chilling outfit.

Instant Skeleton

What you’ll need:

  • Black T-shirt
  • White (or lighter colored) T-shirt
  • Scissors
  • White China marker or chalk
  • Ruler

Lay the black T-shirt out on a flat surface. Make sure it's right side out with the front facing down.

Take your ruler and measure out two columns of lines –10 or 12 – each line about two inches apart. Make sure there is about two inch wide strip down the middle of the shirt, unmarked.

Cut along each line you’ve drawn, being careful to keep them even.

Stretch your T-shirt out and repeat the steps on the other side.

Pull this over a white or lighter colored T-shirt to create a chic spooky last-minute costume!
