The drab days of winter are creeping up on us. Subtle tones, grays and blacks begin to weave their way into our closet. Fortunately, this season’s make up trends can keep your cheeks rosy while creating a bright contrast against the muted background of your clothes.
Lips:
Runways were running over this season with bold reds and matte bright lips. Red lipstick, a timeless classic, never really goes out of style. Be bold and be modern with a wide range of orange-reds to port wine shades.
For softer, smoother lips, make sure to use a gentle scrub often. For longer lasting color, apply a clear lip balm prior to layering on your lip color.

Sephora Maneater: matte classic red
Eyes:
Futuristic shapes and bright bold color blend with classic black liner to create a daring autumn eye opener.
For brown eyes, use bold blues and greens. Green and hazel eyes, match purples and golds for those pretty peepers. Blue eyes merely need a blast of ice – shimmering silvers and grays.
Create a daring cat eye with a liquid liner.
Hourglass: Calligraphy liquid eyeliner
Cheeks:
This year brighten up your face with rosier rouge. Get cheeky with a wind-blown red or a perky peach.
For a more natural look, try some mineral-based blushes that color correct to your skin color.
