Jessica Hayes joined the News 10 Team as a general assignment reporter in August of 2008.

Jessica is originally from Effingham, Illinois, and is excited to be reporting on stories that affect her friends, family and neighbors in the area. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Communications from Illinois State University and a Master's Degree in Political and International Journalism from Georgetown University.

Prior to joining the team at WTHI, Jessica worked as an Assignment Editor at WUSA in Washington, DC.

When she's not working, Jessica enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring Terre Haute and the surrounding areas. She loves keeping up with local and world events, and is usually in the middle of several books at a time. Since Jessica isn't much of a cook, you'll likely run into her at one of Terre Haute's many restaurants.

Jessica is active in breast cancer awareness and prevention. She has spent much time working with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer Foundation.
