TERRE HAUTE, Ind (WTHI) - Rain and thunderstorms are moving through during the overnight hours with the potential for it to hit severe levels.

Strong storms will move along the leading edge of a cold front that will bring damaging winds.

The potential for hail and heavy rainfall will continue into the early morning hours Wednesday.

Winds will be blowing out of the southwest ahead of the cold front near 25 to 45 miles per hour, with isolated gusts even higher.

Wednesday, throughout the day, the winds will be much colder, coming from the west hitting 20 to 40 miles per hour.

Leftover rain will turn into a wintry mix.
