It has been a crazy April and May. April had more than a foot of rain and May, also with lots of rain, and several days of severe weather.
Now it's June and the weather service has released it's monthly outlook, so here it is.
We've already started off hotter than normal, and it looks as though we may continue that trend. Average highs in June should be in the upper 80s and the projection is for our temps to be a little hotter than that.
Rainfall looks a little better. We're just on the edge of what's predicted to be above normal rain, but it's more likely rainfall in June will be much closer to average, which is just over three inches.
Concerning storms, our location along the hot border and the nearness to higher rain could keep us in a stormy pattern. We'll see.
So, according to the Climate Prediction Center, our June will be hotter than normal, but rainfall will be closer to average. I just thought you might find that interesting.
