TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - One street in Terre Haute, that’s been a one-way northbound, has finally been repurposed into a two-way street.

5th St., from Cherry to Farrington, has officially been altered into a two-way street. Street crews finished resurfacing the street Friday afternoon.

The city ordinance was passed last year, which allowed officials to make the change.

City officials hope this will improve traffic flow in the area, and cause drivers to slow their vehicles down in the area.

All motorists are reminded to use extreme caution in the area until fold adapt to the change.
