Colts staff, fans soak in fun & sun in South Florida

FORT LAUDERDALE (WISH) - Most people figure working for the Colts is a pretty sweet gig. But the deal got a little sweeter a couple of weeks ago when owner Jim Irsay announced he was flying the entire staff down to South Florida and taking everyone to the big game.

I caught up with a group of them kicking back on the beach Saturday. They told me they've only been tasked with one job all week.

"We're bus captains. It's our job to make sure all the staff and the families of coaches and players and friends make it onto the bus game day," said Stephanie Mathes.

Colts employee Lindsay Catavolos said their day will start at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday.  She said the staff will be sitting in a group of upper-level seats at the game.

The group is having a blast. They said they took a tour of the Everglades Thursday and spotted several alligators.

Mathes said she wouldn't be upset if the weather got bad enough in Indiana that they'd get stranded in Florida one more day.

Above you'll see a few pictures of the staff and their families on the beach. You can also find a number of pictures of fans for both teams enjoying the beautiful Florida weather today.
