TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - It was a tough battle for third place in the Wabash Valley Classic but Marshall came out on top and beat West Vigo 49-47.
The game went back and forth most the whole game and it was fitting for the game to go down to the last second. West Vigo was down by two points with under 30 seconds left and had two chances to tie or win the game.
The Vikings got the ball to Jordan Houser both times but tough defense by the Lions made his efforts difficult.
Marshall's leading scorers were Logan Cannady with 14 points and Thomas Sisson's 11.
West Vigo's Cade Lindsey had 15 points while Nathan Gregg added 11 of his own.
