TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Marshall came back from a 28-23 deficit to defeat Bloomfield 48-44 in the opening game of the 2011 Wabash Valley Classic.
Marshall was led in scoring by Jacob Duncan with 17 points and Thomas Sisson with 14.
Bloomfield led most of the game over Marshall but was overcome by a late, third quarter 3-pointer and high pressured defense from the Lions.
The Cardinals were led in scoring by Curtis Hasler's 20 points and Ryan O'Neall's 10.
With 12 seconds left, Marshall's Jacob Duncan sealed the victory for the Lions with two free throws on a steal.
