INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Pacers president Larry Bird likes BYU's Jimmer Fredette and Providence's Marshon Brooks heading into the NBA draft on Thursday.
Brooks and Fredette have worked out for the Pacers, and Bird spoke favorably about the high-scoring guards on Tuesday. The Pacers have picks at No. 15 and No. 42.
Bird has his eye on four players in the first round, and expects at least two of them to be available when his team makes its first selection.
Bird said the Pacers won't likely move up in the draft, but they could move down if the right player is available in a deal. He said moving up five spots or so wouldn't make sense based on who is available. He expects to get a player who can contribute immediately.
