Terre Haute, Ind.(WTHI) - Former Washington Hatchet great Tyler Zeller was taken 17th overall in the 2012 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs then traded Zeller to the Cleveland Cavaliers for three picks in this years draft.
The 2008 Indiana Mr. Basketball and North Carolina senior was named ACC Player of the Year this past season after he averaged 16. 3 points and 9.6 rebounds a game.
The seven-footer scored a state championship game record 43 points in 2008 leading the Washington Hatchets to the Class 3A state title.
