TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Saturday morning, the local high school soccer teams, both boys and girls, gathered at Terre Haute North to kick off the season with a jamboree.

North boys took on South in a preview of their rivalry battle.

There was no score with 4 minutes left to play, but South had a chance to change that.

Rush Somerville found Sam Mimms for a good shot at goal, but Myles Curry stymied that attempt for the Patriots.

North answered back with a last minute corner kick that sail to the feet of North’s Jacob Parham; however, Parham wasn’t able to find the back to the net, which sent the game scoreless at the end of the period.

We’ll have to wait until the regular season for a rematch as this one ended 0-0.
