Terre Haute, Ind.(WTHI) - Monday former Terre Haute North star and 2006 Indiana Mr. Baseball Josh Phegley received big news. For the first time in his pro career, he has been put on the Chicago White Sox 40-man roster. The White Sox had to make this move or Phegley would have been eligible for the Rule 5 Draft next month.

Last season in Triple-A, the Charlotte Knights catcher won a gold glove. Phegley also hit .266, with six homers and drove in 48 runs.

Phegley told Sports 10 his upcoming training camp next year with the White Sox is the most important of his career. Josh said his goal, is at least to be a backup MLB catcher next season.
