Linton wins first semi-state title

Terre Haute, Ind.(WTHI) - The Linton boys basketball team Saturday beat Speedway 76-75 in overtime to win the schools first ever semi-state championship.

Dess Fougerousse lead the Miners with 33 points, while Austin Karazsia chipped in 28.

Linton next week will try and win their first basketball state championship and the schools first state title since the 1910 track & field team when they face Bowman Academy in the Class 2A state finals.
