Terre Haute, Ind.(WTHI) - Friday the Indiana High School Athletic Association announced a new two-year tournament success factor for all team sports.
All schools on a sport by sport basis will earn one point for a sectional championship, two for a regional championship, three for a semi-state championship and four points for a state title.
If a school earns six or more points in a two-year class cycle it will have to move up and compete at the next higher enrollment class for the following two seasons.
Teams tournament success from the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school years will be used to determine sports classes for the 2013-2014 season.
