Casey, Ill. (WTHI) - Casey-Westfield and Carlinville were locked in a battle all day Saturday at Sinclair-Vidoni Field.

The teams were knotted at 21 going into the half, then tied again at 42 when the clock struck zero at the end of regulation. Carlinville scored a touchdown to start the overtime period. The Warriors answered with a touchdown of their own, and followed it up with a two-point conversion for a 50-49 win.

Casey-Westfield advances to the Elite 8 in the Class 2A Illinois football playoffs. They travel to Belleville Althoff next weekend.
