INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - It was back to work on Monday for the Indianapolis Colts as they gear up for their game Sunday against the Rams in St. Louis. The Colts had the weekend off because of the bye.
So what did the Colts do during their time off?
"Spent a great amount of time with my two grandsons, sitting with one on each knee. So, it was a lot of fun," said Colts Head Coach Jim Caldwell.
Colts running back Joe Addai said, "My off-week was really an off-week. I mean no football, just kind of relaxing and getting off my feet," he said.
Cornerback Kelvin Hayden is back. Hayden missed the last two games with a hamstring injury but the bye week gave him and his teammates time to get rested and healthy.
"Sunday is a go, so I'm kind of excited. It's been two, three weeks so I'm really excited to get back out there,” said Hayden.
Hayden and Addai aren't the only ones getting healthy. Bob Sanders is getting closer to being back in the lineup.
Coach Jim Caldwell said, "(Sanders) was out there last week and looked good. It will increase this week and we will see where we are at the end of the week, but he's coming along."
With or without Bob, the undefeated Colts will play the winless Rams -- a team they don't plan to take lightly.
"We regard everyone the same, they are capable. Everybody in the league has players, they have some stars and talent and we don't think there are any expectations," said Caldwell.
"They do pretty good things on offense as what I seen, they have a good running game and one of the best backs in the league but they are also growing as a team. So, we just want to go out there and do our job and continue to go forward and hopefully come out with a win,” said Hayden.
The Colts remain on top of the AFC South with a 5-0 record.
