Terre Haute, Ind. (WTHI) - Monday afternoon Indiana State held a press conference to introduce new Head Football Coach Mike Sanford.

Sanford comes to Indiana State from Utah State, where he was the teams Assistant Head Coach. The Aggies won the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Saturday, beating Toledo 41-15.

The Sycamores new coach has made many stops in his coaching career. Some of the marquee schools where he's been an assistant include Purdue, Southern California, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Louisville.

He was the head coach at UNLV from 2005-2009, and made a stop in the NFL with the Chargers from 1999-2001.
