TERRE HAUTE, Ind.(WTHI) - A source close to the Indiana State football program confirmed to Sports 10 Wednesday that Minnesota Gophers wide-receiver J.D. Pride is transferring to ISU.

Wednesday Pride moved into the the ISU campus and is already enrolled in spring semester classes.

In 2009 playing quarterback, he guided Totino-Grace high school in Minnesota to a 4A  state championship. That year Pride was the number one recruit in the state of Minnesota. He went o the University of Minnesota to play QB, but switched to receiver this past year.

This young man is such a phenomenal athlete I have been told ISU doesn't know exactly where they will use him yet. Sports 10 has been told his position right now is being called "athlete". Sports 10 was told he may played a wildcat formation, some QB and possibly some receiver.

J.D. Pride will have three years of eligibility left with the Sycamores.
