TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Indiana State Sycamores pitcher Dakota Bacus has signed a deal with the Oakland A’s.
The Missouri Valley Conference newcomer of the year will leave Monday for Vermont, where he will begin his minor league career.
The A’s offered Bacus a $128 thousand signing bonus.
This past season, the ISU junior set the school record for innings pitched in a single season.
He went seven and four, and finished with a 2.7 ERA.
Bacus also recorded three complete games.
